LibreOffice Impress in Breadstick

Breadstick note

On devices that do not let apps read /proc/version (reported on Android 14), Breadstick starts LibreOffice without its splash launcher, which would otherwise stop with a "/proc not mounted" error. Everywhere else LibreOffice starts as usual.

Breadstick runs Debian's own libreoffice-impress package for ARM64, the build a Debian 13 computer with an ARM processor installs, so LibreOffice Impress should look and behave as it does on a Linux PC. On Samsung DeX, Floating mode opens it as its own window beside your Android apps, and Desktop mode runs it on a full Linux desktop.

With Device files granted, a document saved in your Linux Documents or Downloads folder is in Android's folder too, where Android apps can open it. More about office apps in Breadstick.

About LibreOffice Impress

From the project's description

Impress is a presentation program and part of the LibreOffice productivity suite. Impress is the fastest and easiest way to create effective multimedia presentations. Stunning animation and sensational special effects help you convince your audience. Create presentations that look even more professional than the standard presentations you commonly see at work. Get your colleagues’ and bosses’ attention by creating something a little bit different.

LibreOffice supports opening and saving into a wide variety of formats, so you can easily share presentations with users of other popular office suites without worrying about compatibility.
