Neutron and X-ray reflectometry analysis in Python

refnx in Breadstick

Breadstick runs Debian's own python3-refnx package for ARM64, the build a Debian 13 computer with an ARM processor installs, so refnx should look and behave as it does on a Linux PC. On Samsung DeX, Floating mode opens it as its own window beside your Android apps, and Desktop mode runs it on a full Linux desktop.

Everything runs on the device's own processor, with no GPU compute, and instruments attached over USB are not visible to Linux apps. More about science apps in Breadstick.

About refnx

From Debian's package description

Flexible, powerful, Python package for generalised curvefitting analysis, specifically neutron and X-ray reflectometry data.

It uses several scipy.optimize algorithms for fitting data, and estimating parameter uncertainties. As well as the scipy algorithms refnx uses the emcee Affine Invariant Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) Ensemble sampler for Bayesian parameter estimation.

From Debian's description of the python3-refnx package, under that package's license.
