age in Breadstick

Breadstick runs Debian's own age package for ARM64, the build a Debian 13 computer with an ARM processor installs, so age should behave as it does on a Linux PC. It is a command line program rather than an app with a window of its own: you run it by typing its command in Breadstick's Terminal, or in any terminal window on the Linux desktop, and it needs no Desktop or Floating session running.

Commands in the package

  • age
  • age-keygen

Type one in Breadstick's Terminal to run it.

Password generators and encryption tools run on the device and keep their files in your Linux home folder, inside Breadstick's own app storage. More in the docs: The Terminal.
