Arduino IDE in Breadstick

Breadstick runs Debian's own arduino package for ARM64, the build a Debian 13 computer with an ARM processor installs, so Arduino IDE should look and behave as it does on a Linux PC. On Samsung DeX, Floating mode opens it as its own window beside your Android apps, and Desktop mode runs it on a full Linux desktop.

Compilers and interpreters run on the device's own ARM64 processor, while containers and virtual machines, which need a kernel of their own, cannot run. More about development tools in Breadstick.

About Arduino IDE

From Debian's package description

Arduino is an open-source electronics prototyping platform based on flexible, easy-to-use hardware and software. It's intended for artists, designers, hobbyists, and anyone interested in creating interactive objects or environments.

This package will install the integrated development environment that allows for program writing, code verification, compiling, and uploading to the Arduino development board. Example code will also be installed.

Some base AVR libraries will be provided by the depending additional package arduino-core-avr. More libraries can be installed within the IDE itself by calling the libarary manager. This requires a working internet access.
