Celluloid in Breadstick

Breadstick runs Debian's own celluloid package for ARM64, the build a Debian 13 computer with an ARM processor installs, so Celluloid should look and behave as it does on a Linux PC. On Samsung DeX, Floating mode opens it as its own window beside your Android apps, and Desktop mode runs it on a full Linux desktop.

Sound plays through the device's own audio output, and video is decoded in software, so large or high frame rate files can struggle on slower devices. More about audio and video apps in Breadstick.

About Celluloid

From the project's description

Celluloid is a simple media player that can play virtually all video and audio formats. It supports playlists and MPRIS2 media player controls. The design of Celluloid follows the GNOME Human Interface Guidelines, but can also be adapted for other systems that don't use client-side decorations (CSD). It is based on the mpv library and GTK.

Features:

  • Drag and drop playlist
  • Loading external mpv configuration files
  • MPRIS2 D-Bus interface
