Midnight Commander in Breadstick
Breadstick runs Debian's own mc package for ARM64, the build a Debian 13 computer with an ARM processor installs, so Midnight Commander should look and behave as it does on a Linux PC. It is an interactive program that runs inside a terminal rather than in a window of its own: in Breadstick's Terminal, or in any terminal window on the Linux desktop, and it needs no Desktop or Floating session running.
Commands in the package
mcmceditmcviewmcdiff
Type one in Breadstick's Terminal to run it.
File tools work with your Linux home folder and, once Device files is granted, with your Android folders, which appear there too. Listing and scanning are much faster in your Linux home folder than in Android's shared folders. More in the docs: The Terminal.
About Midnight Commander
From Debian's package description
GNU Midnight Commander is a text-mode full-screen file manager. It uses a two panel interface and a subshell for command execution. It includes an internal editor with syntax highlighting and an internal viewer with support for binary files. Also included is Virtual Filesystem (VFS), that allows files on remote systems (e.g. FTP, SSH servers) and files inside archives to be manipulated like real files.
