System for analyzing bacterial RNA-seq data

rockhoppergui in Breadstick

Breadstick runs Debian's own rockhopper package for ARM64, the build a Debian 13 computer with an ARM processor installs, so rockhoppergui should look and behave as it does on a Linux PC. On Samsung DeX, Floating mode opens it as its own window beside your Android apps, and Desktop mode runs it on a full Linux desktop.

Everything runs on the device's own processor, with no GPU compute, and instruments attached over USB are not visible to Linux apps. More about science apps in Breadstick.

About rockhoppergui

From the project's description

Rockhopper is a comprehensive and user-friendly system for computational analysis of bacterial RNA-seq data. As input, Rockhopper takes RNA sequencing reads output by high-throughput sequencing technology (FASTQ, QSEQ, FASTA, SAM, or BAM files). Rockhopper supports the following tasks: Reference based transcript assembly (when one or more reference genomes are available)Aligning reads to genomesAssembling transcriptsIdentifying transcript boundaries and novel transcripts such as small RNAsDe novo transcript assembly (when reference genomes are unavailable)Normalizing data from different experimentsQuantifying transcript abundanceTesting for differential gene expressionCharacterizing operon structuresVisualizing results in a genome browser
