wdiff in Breadstick

Breadstick runs Debian's own wdiff package for ARM64, the build a Debian 13 computer with an ARM processor installs, so wdiff should behave as it does on a Linux PC. It is a command line program rather than an app with a window of its own: you run it by typing its command in Breadstick's Terminal, or in any terminal window on the Linux desktop, and it needs no Desktop or Floating session running.

Commands in the package

  • wdiff

Type it in Breadstick's Terminal to start the program.

Text and data tools work on files and pipes in the Terminal as on any Linux system, including files in your Android folders once Device files is granted. More in the docs: The Terminal.

About wdiff

From Debian's package description

`wdiff' is a front-end to GNU `diff'. It compares two files, finding which words have been deleted or added to the first in order to create the second. It has many output formats and interacts well with terminals and pagers (notably with `less'). `wdiff' is particularly useful when two texts differ only by a few words and paragraphs have been refilled.

From Debian's description of the wdiff package, under that package's license.
