du + rust = dust. Like du but more intuitive.

dust in Breadstick

Breadstick runs Debian's own du-dust package for ARM64, the build a Debian 13 computer with an ARM processor installs, so dust should behave as it does on a Linux PC. It is a command line program rather than an app with a window of its own: you run it by typing its command in Breadstick's Terminal, or in any terminal window on the Linux desktop, and it needs no Desktop or Floating session running.

Commands in the package

  • dust

Type it in Breadstick's Terminal to start the program.

File tools work with your Linux home folder and, once Device files is granted, with your Android folders, which appear there too. Listing and scanning are much faster in your Linux home folder than in Android's shared folders. More in the docs: The Terminal.

About dust

From Debian's package description

dust is meant to give you an instant overview of which directories are using disk space without requiring sort or head.

It will list a slightly-less-than-the-terminal-height number of the biggest subdirectories or files and will smartly recurse down the tree to find the larger ones. There is no need for a '-d' flag or a '-h' flag. The largest subdirectories will be colored. Optionally it can print its output in JSON format.
