ripgrep in Breadstick
Breadstick note
ripgrep searches your Linux home folder and, once Device files is granted, your Android folders, which appear there as Documents, Downloads and the rest. Searching is much faster in your Linux home folder than in Android's shared folders.
Breadstick runs Debian's own ripgrep package for ARM64, the build a Debian 13 computer with an ARM processor installs, so ripgrep should behave as it does on a Linux PC. It is a command line program rather than an app with a window of its own: you run it by typing its command in Breadstick's Terminal, or in any terminal window on the Linux desktop, and it needs no Desktop or Floating session running.
Commands in the package
rg
Type it in Breadstick's Terminal to start the program.
Search tools read your Linux home folder and, once Device files is granted, your Android folders, which appear there too. Searching is much faster in your Linux home folder than in Android's shared folders. More in the docs: The Terminal.
About ripgrep
From Debian's package description
ripgrep is a line-oriented search tool that recursively searches your current directory for a regex pattern while respecting your gitignore rules and automatically skip hidden files/directories (smart filtering) and binary files. ripgrep is similar to other popular search tools like The Silver Searcher, ack and grep.
ripgrep is generally faster than both The Silver Searcher and GNU grep. It defaults to recursive directory search and won't search files ignored by your `.gitignore` files. Use ripgrep if you like speed, filtering by default, fewer bugs, and Unicode support.
On the other hand, if you like multiline search, then ripgrep may not quite meet your needs (yet), and it will never support fancy regex features such as backreferences or lookaround
