doxygen in Breadstick

Breadstick runs Debian's own doxygen package for ARM64, the build a Debian 13 computer with an ARM processor installs, so doxygen should behave as it does on a Linux PC. It is a command line program rather than an app with a window of its own: you run it by typing its command in Breadstick's Terminal, or in any terminal window on the Linux desktop, and it needs no Desktop or Floating session running.

Commands in the package

  • doxygen
  • dh_doxygen
  • doxyindexer
  • doxysearch.cgi

Type one in Breadstick's Terminal to run it.

Compilers and build tools make ARM64 Linux programs on the device itself, with Debian's own toolchain. A big build uses the device's processor and memory, so it takes longer than on a desktop PC, and each parallel job is another process, which counts against the limit Android puts on apps. More in the docs: Troubleshooting: the desktop closes on its own.

About doxygen

From Debian's package description

Doxygen is a documentation system for C++, C, Objective-C, C#, PHP, Java, Python, IDL, Fortran, VHDL and to some extent D. It can generate an on-line documentation browser (in HTML) and/or an off-line reference manual (in LaTeX) from a set of annotated source files.

There is also support for generating RTF, PostScript, hyperlinked PDF, compressed HTML, and Unix man pages. The documentation is extracted directly from the sources.

Install the doxygen-latex package to build LaTeX based documents.
