iperf3 in Breadstick

Breadstick runs Debian's own iperf3 package for ARM64, the build a Debian 13 computer with an ARM processor installs, so iperf3 should behave as it does on a Linux PC. It is a command line program rather than an app with a window of its own: you run it by typing its command in Breadstick's Terminal, or in any terminal window on the Linux desktop, and it needs no Desktop or Floating session running.

Commands in the package

  • iperf3

Type it in Breadstick's Terminal to start the program.

Network tools use Android's own connection, and a VPN connected in Android covers them too. Anything that needs root, such as capturing traffic or changing the device's network settings, is not available. More in the docs: What Breadstick cannot do: raw network control.

About iperf3

From Debian's package description

Iperf3 is a tool for performing network throughput measurements. It can test either TCP or UDP throughput.

This is a new implementation that shares no code with the original iperf from NLANR/DAST and also is not backwards compatible.

This package contains the command line utility.

From Debian's description of the iperf3 package, under that package's license.
