ping (iputils) in Breadstick

Breadstick runs Debian's own iputils-ping package for ARM64, the build a Debian 13 computer with an ARM processor installs, and a test on a device, above, saw it run. It is a command line program rather than an app with a window of its own: you run it by typing its command in Breadstick's Terminal, or in any terminal window on the Linux desktop, and it needs no Desktop or Floating session running.

Commands in the package

  • ping
  • ping4
  • ping6

Type one in Breadstick's Terminal to run it.

Network tools use Android's own connection, and a VPN connected in Android covers them too. Anything that needs root, such as capturing traffic or changing the device's network settings, is not available. More in the docs: What Breadstick cannot do: raw network control.
