rclone in Breadstick

Breadstick note

rclone copies and syncs files with cloud storage over Android's own network connection. rclone mount cannot run here: it needs FUSE, which Android does not give apps. Its copy and sync commands need no FUSE.

Breadstick runs Debian's own rclone package for ARM64, the build a Debian 13 computer with an ARM processor installs, so rclone should behave as it does on a Linux PC. It is a command line program rather than an app with a window of its own: you run it by typing its command in Breadstick's Terminal, or in any terminal window on the Linux desktop, and it needs no Desktop or Floating session running.

Commands in the package

  • rclone

Type it in Breadstick's Terminal to start the program.

Downloads use Android's own network connection, and a VPN connected in Android covers them too. With Device files granted, a file saved to your Linux Downloads folder is in Android's Downloads too. More in the docs: The Terminal.
