Not tested on a device yet. What that means
pipx in Breadstick
Breadstick runs Debian's own pipx package for ARM64, the build a Debian 13 computer with an ARM processor installs, so pipx should behave as it does on a Linux PC. It is a command line program rather than an app with a window of its own: you run it by typing its command in Breadstick's Terminal, or in any terminal window on the Linux desktop, and it needs no Desktop or Floating session running.
Commands in the package
pipx
Type it in Breadstick's Terminal to start the program.
Interpreters and runtimes run on the device's own ARM64 processor, from Debian's own packages. Keep projects in your Linux home folder, which is much faster than Android's shared folders for trees of many small files. Libraries with compiled parts need an ARM64 Linux build, or the tools to build one on the device. More in the docs: The Terminal.
About pipx
From Debian's package description
pipx allows you to...
- Run the latest version of a CLI application from a package in a temporary virtual environment, leaving your system untouched after it finishes.
- Install packages to isolated virtual environments, while globally exposing their CLI applications so you can run them from anywhere.
- Easily list, upgrade, and uninstall packages that were installed with pipx.
pipx runs with regular user permissions, never calling "sudo pip install".
From Debian's description of the pipx package, under that package's license.
