lazygit in Breadstick

Breadstick note

lazygit's full-screen interface runs in Breadstick's Terminal; Esc, Tab and the arrow keys it uses are on the key bar above the on-screen keyboard. Keep repositories in your Linux home folder, which is much faster than Android's shared folders.

Breadstick runs Debian's own lazygit package for ARM64, the build a Debian 13 computer with an ARM processor installs, so lazygit should look and behave as it does on a Linux PC. It is an interactive program that runs inside a terminal rather than in a window of its own: in Breadstick's Terminal, or in any terminal window on the Linux desktop, and it needs no Desktop or Floating session running.

Commands in the package

  • lazygit

Type it in Breadstick's Terminal to start the program.

Keep repositories in your Linux home folder, which is much faster than Android's shared folders for their many small files. Version control tools reach remote servers over Android's own network connection, a VPN connected in Android included. More in the docs: The Terminal.

About lazygit

lazygit is a simple terminal UI for git commands that makes git easier to use.

It provides an interactive interface to perform common git operations such as:

  • Viewing and staging files
  • Committing changes
  • Browsing logs and diffs
  • Managing branches and remotes
  • Handling stashes

All features of lazygit can be easily accessed using arrow keys and intuitive keystrokes.
