Mercurial in Breadstick

Breadstick runs Debian's own mercurial package for ARM64, the build a Debian 13 computer with an ARM processor installs, so Mercurial should behave as it does on a Linux PC. It is a command line program rather than an app with a window of its own: you run it by typing its command in Breadstick's Terminal, or in any terminal window on the Linux desktop, and it needs no Desktop or Floating session running.

Commands in the package

  • hg
  • chg

Type one in Breadstick's Terminal to run it.

Keep repositories in your Linux home folder, which is much faster than Android's shared folders for their many small files. Version control tools reach remote servers over Android's own network connection, a VPN connected in Android included. More in the docs: The Terminal.
