glab in Breadstick

Breadstick runs Debian's own glab package for ARM64, the build a Debian 13 computer with an ARM processor installs, so glab should behave as it does on a Linux PC. It is a command line program rather than an app with a window of its own: you run it by typing its command in Breadstick's Terminal, or in any terminal window on the Linux desktop, and it needs no Desktop or Floating session running.

Commands in the package

  • glab

Type it in Breadstick's Terminal to start the program.

Keep repositories in your Linux home folder, which is much faster than Android's shared folders for their many small files. Version control tools reach remote servers over Android's own network connection, a VPN connected in Android included. More in the docs: The Terminal.

About glab

From Debian's package description

GLab is an open source GitLab CLI tool bringing GitLab to your terminal next to where you are already working with git and your code without switching between windows and browser tabs. Work with issues, merge requests, watch running pipelines directly from your CLI among other features.

glab is available for repositories hosted on GitLab.com and self-managed GitLab instances. glab supports multiple authenticated GitLab instances and automatically detects the authenticated hostname from the remotes available in the working Git directory.
